Visit the Cane Rum Society and enjoy amazing Jamaican food and, as the restaurant’s name suggests, drink great rum. Rum takes centre stage in this restaurant, which you’ll find under the new St. Erik’s Eye Hospital in Hagastaden. Here at Panea we were tasked with developing a unique overall concept with rum at the core, both as an accompaniment to the food and as part of the interior design.
To make this vision a reality, we manufactured everything, from bars and wrought iron details to sofas and a unique sliding door solution with illuminated rum bottles. To further highlight the restaurant’s 1,600 varieties of rum, each bottle is part of the decor and carefully lit. As well as producing the interiors, in collaboration with Storköksbyrån, we created designs for the kitchens and installed all kitchen equipment, including stoves, refrigerators and chilled display units. As well as manufacturing and installing the furnishings and kitchen equipment, we handled all the contracting, such as electricity and plumbing, and all finishes, such as floors, ceilings and walls.
